Renewable Energy Momentum Index

Which nations offer the most attractive environment for renewable energy investments?

To answer this question, my teammates and I created the Renewable Energy Momentum Index, a quantitative score encompassing each country’s market potential and receptivity to renewable energy. This score may be used to compare countries directly with each other, regardless of population, GDP, and other demographic factors.

This index was calculated as a product of a country’s mass (the size of the remaining addressable market) and their velocity (the year over year change in percentage of energy produced by renewables).
