Report Purchase Requisitions with Power BI Direct Query

This project created a Power BI report to track purchase requisitions (PRs) that are normally tracked across several external data stores.

  • I worked with the database team to create a SQL Server view that summarizes all of the data needed for people to track their PRs
  • The data was inmported into Power BI report using Direct Query
  • The report was designed such that the user’s AD information was used to display only their pertinent PRs
  • The report is shared via an on prem Power BI Report Server
